period pain in vulva, labia, upper thighs - is this normal?

It’s been the case since having kids. I used to get horrendous period pain that had me off work, intense indescribable agony in my abdomen. But since having kids that has not been much of a problem and any pain I do get there is eased with paracetamol. But now, for the first 24 hours of my period my vulva/outer labia throb and ache and feel so heavy, it’s horrible. I don’t feel like my insides are going to fall out (like they did post child birth and how I imagine prolapse to feel) but it’s just throbbing and really aches.
Is this normal, does anyone else get this?
Thanks

In my case PCOS was the root cause of my irregular periods whilst endometriosis was the root cause of all the other symptoms along with pain that had me on the floor writhing about.

I dont have endometriosis that I know of (conceived very quickly no issues with periods or anything) and I have this x

Same here Attilla, I’ve had loads of CT and USS but they only found endometriosis when I had the laparoscopy.

Yes and endo for me as well.
I found mine got better, but didn't go away, after I had DCs. Nothing like as painful.

Bizarrely now I'm peri menopausal it seems to be getter worse.

I have all of your symptoms too op, including the ovulation pain. I often get twinges throughout the month where I assume my ovaries are, not sure if this is relevant. Never considered endo as I conceived easily and can deal with the pain with paracetamol.

Should add, it seems much worse when standing, like gravity is pulling the pain down my legs.

DtPeabodysLoosePants · 28/10/2019 10:22

Gravity yes, like my reproductive organs are going to fall out. Passing urine makes that feeling worse.

www.endometriosis-uk.org. Currently no cure, treatments to reduce symptoms vary and some women's symptoms are worse than others.

The mini pill helped for a couple of years with my endometriosis.
If you're finding that you can't cope with the pain any more, you can have the endometriosis cut away (excised) laparoscopically (keyhole). I had that done last year but still had awful pain that is down to adenomyosis.
I had a hysterectomy on Thursday so I'm still in a lot of pain but hoping it'll be worth it in the end.
Good luck OP.
