Bleeding after sex & abdominal pain

Just want to preface this with the fact I will be booking an appointment with my GP tomorrow about this. But I've been working myself up in to a bit of a frenzy.

For about 3 weeks, perhaps a little longer, I have bled after sex. I've also recently had problems with feeling bloated, thick discharge, period like pains and tiredness.

I don't have periods at all since I had the coil put in just over a year ago.

I just feel so, so awful 90% of the time. I'm always feeling sick and rundown. My lower back and top of my legs ache, as well as my tummy. I'm absolutely terrified. And I'm not really a worrier when it comes to health.

Has anyone experienced similar?

It could be something simple and harmless like a cervical ectropian, but PCB does usually need a gynae referral. Tomorrow I would be asking for them to book you in for a pelvic examination and some swabs (if they don’t have time in your appointment), at the very least.

Nope. But you know the only way to sort this is to go to the GP ....ask for a female dr if it helps. Don’t delay!

Your go should book you for a pelvic ultrasound ,depending on the results you will get a gynae referral or maybe both.
Until then try not to worry ,mine turned out to be huge fibroids.Ultrasound appointments come fairly quickly .

I saw the doctor last Tuesday, the swab came back clear on Friday and my ultrasound is tomorrow. Make that appointment,

I requested a female doctor and she was so very lovely, her kind words have kept me going this week and thankfully work is extremely busy.

Thanks so much for the advice. I will make an appointment today. It's probably nothing but you're right better safe than sorry!

I've been diagnosed for cervical ectropian and had very similar symptoms to you

It seems fairly common and easily treatable.

Good luck with your appointment Flowers
