Experiences with cap/diaphragm

DW has had many problems with hormonal contraception, and doesn't want to get an IUD, so for we depend exclusively on condoms.

Just curious to know if anyone has used a cap/diaphragm and what your experience was like? Other than dispensing with condoms, are there any real advantages to it?

Just stick with condoms.

Just notice that I've posted this in the tattoos section...well that was bloody silly...

I did wonder if there were some "unusual" tattooing techniques I'd not yet come across Grin

She might have a hard time getting her hands on a diaphragm or cap these days - it can be done, but as a method a lot of places have stopped supplying them in part because their reliability is lower than condoms or LARCs. You also have to use a spermicide with them. Their principal advantage, other than being a barrier method that isn't condoms, is that you can put them in a few hours before sex so they're less of an interruption.

Also, you don't say if you already have or might have DCs, but if you are over 30 and (more) DC are definitely not in your future, you could probably get a vasectomy on the NHS.
