Any way to bring on a period?

Hi,

Periods have been slightly unpredictable of late. Not too unpredictable, but I've gone from regular as clockwork 28 days to anything from 26 to 32 day cycles. So guessing when it's due is a bit tricky.

We booked a holiday starting 9th August for just over two weeks. At the time of booking, period was due on the 11th, so I got norethisterone to take. This was a couple of months ago. Cycle has shifted a little and it's now due on the 5th. Of course, that's not definite. You can't take norethisterone for more than 20 days as far as I'm aware. Periods can be heavy, so really, really want to avoid it while on holiday if possible. My period had a negative effect on our holiday last year, as for three days, I had to go to the loo every hour. This holiday is a swimming one, I can't use tampons or cups, and I don't have the money for period swimwear. We're going with my parents and in-laws in a big group, and I'd rather they didn't know why I'm not swimming. It's a two day drive, so if it arrives a few days late, the journey will be unmanageable.

Is there any way of bringing a period on slightly earlier that anybody has tried? Any supplements or anything? Or, if I started taking norethisterone now, and then stopped, would that bring it on earlier? I've been advised not too take the contraceptive pill any more by my doctor. Holidays were easy in those days!

Thanks!

No answer here but I was in similar situation. I going to holiday tomorrow and my periods were late. They started finally on Wednesday and I am fine now. I was looking for information to get them started because the place we go doesn't have shower/bath or water closet.

Too much Clary Sage Aromatherapy Oil in a bath. Be careful if anyone you know has a pacemaker or metal plates, pregnant etc though
