Periods have stopped (I’ve missed 5)
Not pregnant.
Have had blood tests done but I’m just wondering if anyone else’s periods have stopped and why? I’m 31 so don’t think it’s menopause!

Has your doctor referred you for further investigations?

Excessively low weight and over-training are two common causes.

Early menopause is also a possibility, and if it is that, you should probably have a discussion on merits of HRT in your individual circumstances

Do you exercise a lot? My friend who used to do very intense HIIT sessions every day and also ate a strict diet lost her periods.
If not then have you recently changed contraception? My period became incredibly irregular for about 8 months after coming off the pill. You could also have a hormonal imbalance so hopefully your doctor will do some blood tests to check your levels.

Have had blood tests, checking for 20 or more things. Haven’t changed contraception or been exercising or doing anything different really. There’s been two occasions before where I’ve skipped a month but they’ve just stopped completely now.

Have you been unusually stressed lately? Are you very underweight/overweight for your height?
Your dr will send you for a scan hopefully to check your ovaries etc. Do you ever do ovulation tests at home to see if you are still ovulating?

No more stressed than usual, overweight but have been on a diet and not losing so gp is testing for thyroid issues.
Don’t do ovulation tests so I don’t know about that .

Have you been investigated for PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome)?
