Pin-prick inversion on nipple

A couple of months ago, one of my nipples developed a tiny inversion, like a pin-prick. I've kept hoping it would go back to normal but not so far, and my husband commented yesterday that the nipple looked darker than the other one (I can't see this, but he commented out of the blue that it did). I'd put it out of my mind before that, but now I have started fretting over it.

Other than the inversion, my breast feels normal - no lumps or change in skin texture.

For context, I'm 45, but three years post-menopause following surgery.

Should I go to the GP? It's such a tiny thing, I don't want to be made to feel stupid or a time waster.

Any advice would be welcome.

(I am a regular poster on here but I have name-changed).

I would definitely see your GP if only to put your mind at rest.

That was what I was thinking, I'm just paranoid about being told I'm wasting their time. I was in and out of the doctors a lot before my surgery, and a couple of times last year and once already this year for a chest infection. I worry they see me as a hypochondriac.

Go to your GP. It may be absolutely nothing but not worth the risk. Without meaning to scare you, a friend was diagnosed with breast cancer at 35. She never had a lump, just a small dent on the side of one breast. She's all clear now after double mastectomy, reconstruction and chemo and radiotherapy with an excellent prognosis.

Thank you both for the advice - I will make an appointment. A flea in the ear would be better than the constant worrying about this and obviously better than learning something was wrong. It's such a tiny thing, but I know it's not right.
