Post coital bleeding, severe pain, so alone please help

I would hugely appreciate some responses, I didn't get any to my last post and I feel so alone. (NC).

So I have been to the GP, I'm going back for swabs next week due to being on period this week and have been referred to gynae for colposcopy.

I went because of post coital bleeding and well I basically haven't stopped bleeding since my last period (spotting) worse after sex. I have a coil (copper 5 years) but that is being largely ignored by the dr right now. Since seeing her and waiting for my tests I have been having horrendous pain in my pelvis and bum area, that shooting pain followed by painful inflammatory type pain, I've googled and sounds similar to proctalgia fugax, but it started at 4.30am and although it's not still shooting I'm still very uncomfortable, can't sit in certain positions, bloated. Could this be my coil? My usual, not particularly heavy period? Is something else going on? Related to the mid cycle bleeding?

Not sure but bumping for you, could you try to speak to your GP again?

I appreciate the reply and bump :) it's a surgery with only one female GP who only works Tuesdays and Thursdays (but they are closed in the afternoons on Thursday!) obviously if it gets worse I will see whoever I have to see but I admit I'm quite fond of her and would rather see her. It's feeling more like cramping this afternoon now. Being on my period though they seem a little limited as to what they can do this week, she seemed keen to wait until next week (not knowing about the pain then of course).

I had mid cycle/after Dec bleeding when I had a cervical ectropion so it could be something like that but you've definitely done the right thing in going to your gp and I'm glad they've referred you to gynae. If the pain worsens maybe try a gp via a local walk in centre? Hopefully someone with more of an idea will pop along shortly.
