I wrote a post about menstrual cups as i have started using one recently as well xx

I love mine, it's been a total game changer. I've got the meluna one, I got it as it was cheaper than a mooncup and I wasn't sure if I would like it.

Getoffthetableplease · 21/11/2018 18:41

I have a Me Luna one too and I really couldn't be happier with it (did initially purchase a Yuuki but that was really not right for me!). They do them in different sizes and firmness, but there is advice on the Me Luna site about which one might be best for you.

Handbaghag · 21/11/2018 18:43

I bought a femme cup. It's a different cup if its post baby. Have never regretted it.

Handbaghag · 21/11/2018 18:43

By different I mean they sold 2 different cups. I had to cut off the stem for comfort

Bobbiepin · 21/11/2018 18:45

When people say they cut the stem off for comfort does that mean it digs in if you were to leave it?

Jazzy25 · 21/11/2018 18:52

I switched to the mooncup earlier this year and can’t believe I didn’t try one sooner. The sizing is really simple. It’s really easy to use but it did take two cycles to totally get the hang of it. I didn’t get on with the recommended way to fold it to insert so I looked online and found another way which I like much better. I would say now is a great time to try it if your periods are lighter as there will be less chance of leakage. You should absolutely go for it! Smile

buttyblahblah · 21/11/2018 19:05

Are they any good if you've never used tampons?

AnotherEmma · 21/11/2018 19:07

Another vote for the Meluna, I prefer it to the Mooncup

coughingbean · 21/11/2018 19:08

I would say so butty I tried on and off for 15 years to use tampons and just couldn't get on with them. I have now been using a mooncup for 5 years.

VisitorsEntrance · 21/11/2018 19:11

I have used my cup for about 15 years.
To be honest I can be quite heavy and I do leak so I do have to wear a towel as well.

tiredmoma · 21/11/2018 21:33

I think ill try it!! Anyone ever used calla? They have 40% off for black Friday and if i can save money i might as well eps incase is dosent work out.....

Thanks coughingbean, I might pluck up the courage to try one. I do feel ridiculous still using sanitary towels in my 40s.

NotCitrus · 23/11/2018 11:34

I found an online survey on 'which is the best menstrual cup for you?' and ordered the one which was available in the UK (perils of an American survey!). Then looked up a site on menstrual cup folds and mastered folding it before trying to use it.
I'd actually like a longer stem as it did take a lot of effort to extract until I got the hang of 'birthing' it! But it's so much better than towels.

tiredmoma · 23/11/2018 19:01

Ive ordered the calla one as they had 40% off free postage and 100% refund if not happy!! 😊 cant wait until it come to try it out!! 😁
