Can a private breast scan result be shared with my GP or pending health insurance provider?

My partner was just about to sign us on to his heath insurance plan at work when I found a lump in my breast. He requested the paperwork from HR on Friday with the intention to send off on Monday (tomorrow). I found the lump Saturday. The timing is just really, really bad.

The application could take about a week to process, but I will be away for work then and quite honestly, I want to know now if it's something sinister so I can cancel my trip and deal with it. There is a private clinic where I can get a scan and same day results, and they also can do a biopsy if needs be. But in the case that long term treatment is needed, I really want to be able to use my partner's private health care (I am not opposed to NHS but I would like the option of both)

So my question is: If I have this private scan done while the application is still processing, will this info be shared with my GP and/or would the insurance be able to find out that I had the scan?

I just don't want the health insurance to now be completely obsolete simply b/c of the difference of a few days. I never expected something like this, I'm only 42.

Wait. A few days or even a week won't make any difference to your health but you have the duty to disclose to the health insurance any findings or pre-existing conditions. Not sure how easily they can access this in UK but why take the risk,

Consider two things.
First more than 9 out of 10 lumps are just lumps, cell build ups, cyst, fat, .milk duct, ......
Second, a breast cancer cell takes roughly 10 years to reach a size detectable by touch or mammogram. So a week makes no difference.

it is for everyone, including those having just found a lump or are waiting for diagnosis.
