Petrified - Bad mammogram during miscarriage

About 3/4 weeks ago I had a miscarriage and while it was happening I was offered a free mammogram through work via BUPA. I'd initially declined it as I was pregnant. But as started to miscarry thought I may as well do it. My mum died from breast cancer age 67. In only 41 so wouldn't have a routine NHS scan for many years.

So the results came back just now as having a "mass" on my right breast ShockConfusedSad

I'm going to see a consultant tomorrow.

Petrified.

Has anyone else had miscarriage / mammogram that turned out all ok?

I'm so scared :(

Impossible not to worry but try to stay neutral until you know what is happening.
My best friend had two masses on her mammogram, both were harmless. Breast tissue changes during pregnancy so that could be. Factor.
Did you have an ultrasound ?
I am very sorry about your miscarriage.

So sorry 😔
Have you had any news about the mammogram?

Haggisfish · 18/06/2018 19:08

Oh I’m sorry. Breast tissue does get thicker during pg-hopefully this is all it is.

So sorry about your loss, I am part of a trial of early breast screening from 47 on the nhs I was told they are expecting lots of false positives due to the difference in younger womens breasts, certainly if you are younger and recently pregnant this could be a factor. Take care of yourself best wishes for tomorrow

Great news Thanks

Well that is great news.

Do take time to look after yourself and allow yourself to deal with raft of emotions that must have swamped you.
