My daughter is a member , her dad subsribed a sa present. I loath the books personally, but dd loves them and they have encourage her to try and read for herself.

I have read disney booksto my kids. The writing is very poor. I hate reading them and the kids really don't love them like other books. If you want a book club, I suggest something other than disney.

DD loves these as she likes the stories but I think they are very badly written. Personally would just spend £2.50 on a Ladybird Disney story book - cheap as chips.

the grolier one? WE have been for a year but am about to cancel as we have most of the main stories and they have started sending all the silly 2nd film type books. Do think they are slightly expensive

Skribble · 28/08/2005 22:30

Works out very expensive and they just keep coming.

Easier and cheaper to buy them in charity or second hand shops, then you only have to buy the ones you want. TBH there are much better versions of the Disney books.

Agree with nemo, after a while they send you rubbish and they are not well written. We got the main ones and then cancelled but even those havn't stood the test of time and I have got rid of most of them. Much better to buy decent children's books (gruffalo, snail and the whale etc) or the ladybird ones if you want disney.
