Read that too - liked it though not as well written as This Thing Of Darkness.

The Caliban Shore

The Fatal Shore

And The Floating brothel wasn't bad but not as good as the others.

i've just read Magellan;The first circumnavigation of the world by ian cameron...not the best writing style in the world but an interesting book, esp when he describes going to the early argentinian coast (like the beagle)
