I wondered if ayone on here had read this novel by Ann Widdecombe (no I hadn't realised until this week that she wrote novels) and what your opinions on it might be.
Basically it is about a marriage break up but is told entirely from the father's point of view. The story follows his struggles to gain access to his children and his frustrating battles with a shockingly incompetent CSA.
I found it quite an absorbing read if at times unremittingly depressing. However, I was very much aware throughout that this was an entirely black and white account, i.e. the father is the victim, the mother is vindictive and there is never any attempt to paint her in the least bit sympathetically or show her view point or explain her motives. I am sure Fathers for Justice love this book!
I have no experience (thankfully) of this situation so I don't know how typical the scenarios described here are. I got the impression she must have done quite a bit of research. If the portrayal of the CSA is accurate then it is quite scandalously bad.
Anyway, interested if anyone has any views...
