Anyone else read this? I'm two thirds through and am finding it very readable. It does explain why she comes across as she does and I have felt quite sorry for her at times. Makes as good story.

I've not read it but I saw her interviewed on breakfast television and was interested in reading it. I will look for it now.

Thanks.

I got mine from the library (they bought it specially for me and I got a funny look when I picked it up - subtitle 'How I Lost a Husband and Found Rural Bliss' which is my situation except I was living in the rural bliss bit already!). Couldn't bring myself to hand over money for it but was interested in reading it after reading reviews. Hope you find it.

Intrigued. I have always found her really sad. She was deluded if she thought she would find happiness in the country. she needs to look inwards. no actaully don't do that. she is completely self obsessed as it is.

when yu say readable, what do you mean. isn't it painful to read ? from someone as sad as she is .

I don't want to buy it either but will have a look in the library. I did enjoy (in a shamefaced sort of way) "Liz Jones' Diary: How one single girl got married". She makes you feel better about your own life by comparison.

Not painful to read but well-written and illuminating, not wallowing or self pity. Her love for her animals comes across as does her lonely childhood. I did feel sorry for her.
