It's not that long since I read it but I cannot for the life of me remember what happened right at the end. I remember that they have to close all the openings and Lyra talks about sitting on a bench and remembering each other - what happens after that?

God yes - they deffo did it. I didn't feel there was any doubt at all about that. Lyra is Eve and their 'sin' is to grow up (well, actually at around 13 not quite 'up' tbh!) and fall in love - that's all.

Yes definitely they have to have sex because it's all a kind of rewrite of Genesis (via Milton). I don't mind their age but I do think it's all a bit contrived.
