when a novel has 2 narrators/narratives, do you find you are ddrawn to one much more than the other?

eg 19th Wife - modern story over original 19th wife
am reading Finest Type of English Womanhood and find myself skimming Gay's story to get back to Laura quicker

and classic example - Wuthering Heights, nobody gives a fig about the younger Catherine and her story...

aha. I taught it for A level several years in a row and we managed to find lots of interesting stuff about the 2nd generation BUT it took a lot of digging and the students were never moved by them really. I have a very soft spot for Hareton though.
