Now deep within my english lecture circles, Mr Brown is a name often said as if you have acid in your mouth. He is despised because of his erm... (in some people's opinions) lax approach to writing.

I know I could of started something really very...

In my opinion I hated deception point but dv code and angels and demons I felt were quite an easy holiday read. A break from the hard hitting literature I was encountering during term time.

I do apologise for exceptionally long post.

please dont verbally abuse me I am only enquiring!

have finished. it was long, tedious, blatently obvious what was going to happen next and utter crap.

and the picture of Mr Brown on the inside back cover makes me want to punch him very hard.

LindenAvery, is the new Thomas Covenant out yet? Its been so long since the last one that I've lost track.

It gets better, I read it in a day and a half.

I too get confused (but secretly snigger) when on the first page of all his books he puts 'These buildings are FACT. They exist. That is FACT.' (Erm, presumably almost every building in every book exists and doesn't need this disclaimer?)

I found this one not as readable as the other two (I read Deception Point too but can't remember it? ) and hard to get started.

Being American a great deal about Washington DC was shoved down our throats lovingly taught to us as children so I did have a pretty good context about it all and patted myself on the back a bit for 'having actually been there!'. (Never fear, I
slapped myself with a wet fish afterward.) I did google a few things in the book .

So are there any websites that critique Mr. Brown and his 'faux-literature'? Would be interested to read as in the US there's very little negatively said about him.
