I keep most of mine and they are beginning to take over the house. The bookcases are two deep and we are still running out of space.

Shall I just try to toughen up and bin some? I always think I might want to re-read them.

Straight to charity shop. Books are fugly ornaments.

My friends and family get first choice of the books I've read, and the rest go to my local library which accepts used books, or my local bookshop/café called a book and a bun, that sell used books, with the proceeds going to local literacy projects.

Give them to charity shop or family if they want to read them .

If they're fairly recent releases I sell them via "we buy books" website. If I think they'll be of interest I pass on to friends/family. Otherwise they go to charity shop or school PTA collections

Go to charity shop with them. Sometimes it is recycling them back even if I have bought them there in the first place!

Sometimes pass to friends if not.

Just read a really good book for 50 pence amazingly good value for the pleasure I had reading it.

I got rid of 17 big bags for life of books when I moved, charity shopped them all.
Felt very liberating

Twice a year I donate all the books I've read to the dc's school fete. I never re-read books and hate having them collecting dust.

snoopyokay · 09/08/2017 14:21

I leave mine on the train incase someone finds it and wants to read it!

I get them out the library its cheaper and you don't need a lot of space to keep books.
