Breaking Dawn.....

Anyone else disappointed. Sorry if I'm dragging up old stuff, but couldn't find a thread recently....

I loved the other 3, and the chapters of Midnight Sun online (Eclipse and MS my faves). Held off from BD until I would have time to read 48hrs straight as I can't put them down, and it kept me involved, but it just wasn't the same.

I think it was because there's no yearning/longing/torture of being apart anymore. Edward seems to spend the whole book worried - after the beginning, they don't seem like the same couple or even the same people.

Anyone else feel the same???

i felt that she hit the pinnicle with the first book and the sequal were a must read becuase by that time we were vividly in love with the characters (team jacob)

I think i need to go cold turkey too (says this while reading twilight for the 4th time)
My sky + planner only has 3% left on it because instead of catching up on my programmes i am watching twilight!!

I quite liked Breaking dawn (funnily though i thought it was a bit far fetched!ha ha) although Jacob really does annoy me! sorry all those on team jacob.

Glad I found this thread! read the first three this weekend found them entertaining and impossible to put down. Am listening to Dawn on iPod and it is no where near as good.

Reneesme ???? That name pissed me off and I found I couldn't take the birth gore fest seriously. The writing has become bloated and the attempts to create tension are pitiful. It is obvious that Jacob was going to imprint on Nessy, obvious that she was pregnant when on honeymoon, obvious that Jacob was a bladdy werewolf for that matter....

I have to admit although I like the cast of characters they are all incredibly slow on the uptake when the plot requires it - which makes for frustrating reading at times.

I think I Am alone in not finding Edward all that attractive as he is prudish, rather a control freak and too boringly conventional (for a vampire). I would have gone for Jacob if I were Bella and if I could have waited a few years ;-) but I do like a bad boy.

Jacob is too scruffy.Edward wears his clothes with panache and is good in any given social situation.As well as being fit as you like.

Im off to SM's website.I didnt realise there were outtakes from ALL the books, Ive only seen the Twilight ones.I am too too excited.

This thread is NOT helping me get over my obsession AT ALL!

DH is working late tonight.I was going to go for a walk and do some work.Lets face it Im going to watch Twilight.Why even try to do anything else.Im irrevocably in love with it.

just finnished reading all the outtakes on SM.com.

Great to read something different about our favourite vampire family. some definatly needed to be cut but I loved the story line about the scholorship in new moon. That was so edward and also so bella. it should have been kept in.

Ahh and poor edward stuck in an attic with the rats and spiders. Suppose its better than hiding under a rock with alistor.

How on earth are you meant to pronoune Renesmee?

I thought it was ren-nez-meeee but then with the nickname Nessie I wondered whether it was meant to be re-Ness-me.

Also, the Jazz bit was just annoying, either have it in all the books or not at all!

In the audio book it was pronoused ren-ezmay but the woman reading had such an irritating voice I wanted to gouge my ears out by the end (20hrs!!)

It was a combination of Renee and Esme (pronounced ezmay) so therefore must be Ren-ezmay. Bloody stupid name.

I didn't think the last book was that bad. It definately was my least favourite though, and yeah, Renesme?! wtf?

I didn't like what Jacob became, he was suposed to be her best friend but why? He was an asshole in the later books.

Still a happy ending is nice don't you think?

I am gutted to hear she was goind to write another one but stopped! What a shame.

By the way, did they kill it with the movie or what?! Truely, utterly, crap. That bit where he stands in the sun and......NOTHING HAPPENS! Not once in the film did I feel that they were in love, and her character was totally dead, it's supposed to be Edward that is dead, duh!

Still I am 100% head over heals in love with Ed.

Has anyone else read the Host? I got to page 34, quit and decided to read Twilight again!

Littlepurpleprincess, the 5th book's called Midnight Sun and you can read the first 12 chapters on SM's website. It's really well worth a look.

I read last weekthat the actress who played Victoria in Twilight and New Moon has been replaced for Eclipse which is bloody stupid for christ sake.

The actress had other commitments so couldn't do Eclipse. I never liked her as Victoria anyway.

Oh, now I thought she was quite good as Victoria - beautiful, yet obsessive and evil.

That will be a hard role for them to fill - you would have thought whoever bought the film rights had the foresight to tie the main characters in to all the relevant films wouldn't you?

On that note, it's disappointing that James died in book one, he was a great actor and I always thought he would have been more suited to Jasper than the actor that plays Jasper is.

There was a 10 day overlap and I think out of 3 months of filming they could have waited 10 days, but yes I think both sides have obviously have fluffed up.

I dunno I sort of like how the actor that plays Jasper really does look pained lol

I think Victoria looked very cat like, which is how shes suposed to look so that was good
