wow love the saga I cant stop reading them. It's insane. I read them already 4 times each and I know I'll them again. Love Breaking down it's my favorite.

gailforce1 · 14/04/2011 20:25

Please could someone put the series in order for me? Is the first book Twilight?
Thanks.

EdwardorEricCantDecide · 14/04/2011 20:37

1 twilight
2 new moon
3 eclipse
4 breaking Dawn

I also loved them all. Kind of going off them now, was disappointed by sex or lack of I think even the Tweens could have handled slightly more detail on that front. That's what made BD disappointing for me

gailforce1 · 15/04/2011 19:30

More sex in twilight and new moon than BD then?!!!
Should i give them a try?

takewhatyoucan · 21/04/2011 20:10

Yes! Give them a try, but read with an open mind. I loved them but really cannot explain why, as they are not the usual thing I would read.

Here is a funny cartoon forwarded to me from a friend about why Twilight is so popular, but only read this if you have a sense of humour about the whole thing!

TitsalinaBumSquash · 21/04/2011 20:10

I bloody love Twilight. :o

tallulahxhunny · 01/06/2011 21:45

I loved these books, hubby bought me them for xmas and it took me 2 weeks to read them all, i just couldnt put them down.

Edward was much nicer in my head than in the film btw ;)

minipinmad · 02/06/2011 13:17

Love love love them, so much so I'm having difficulty getting into anything else after them, can't wait til November to see what Breaking Dawn part 1 will look like on the big screen xox I'm very much team Jacob!!!

YvonneMarie · 17/06/2011 20:00

To be honest I enjoyed all 5 of them (including the bree tanner book).
The first book took a while to get going, but after the character relationships start to develop I found myself hooked.

I know quite a few people who hated the books, but I found it good fun escapim, and reminds you how it felt to be a teenage girl.

glenthebattleostrich · 11/10/2011 21:13

The first was probably the worst book I've ever read.

supermama212 · 18/11/2011 17:21

I read them before letting my DD read them! I couldn`t put them down, One night, i was reading the first one and was so interested i was still up at half past 4! Wink

supermama212 · 18/11/2011 17:23

am looking forwards to the film! was going to see it tonight , but DD in hospital and am NOT turning into and old person bye going to the cinema alone tonight!

SaggyoldCHRISTMASHUMBUGcatpuss · 28/11/2011 22:49

Total and utter DROSS! I actually listened to the first 3, in the hope that they might get better, and I got all 3 together in a job lot. Im just glad that I listened to them instead of wasting valuable eyeball time in this shit!

Sookeh · 16/12/2011 17:57

I loved them. Still love them. Not ashamed Grin

Ok...maybe a teensy bit ashamed

TeamDamon · 16/12/2011 18:07

Meh - I am a die-hard vampire fan (Buffy, Angel, True Blood and The Vampire Diaries - I'm there) but Twilight is just - crap. No wit, no irony, no clever writing, no sassy women or sexy men - just whiny whiny teenagers. I like teenagers (kind of goes with the job) but these teenagers really give teenagers a bad name.

Sookeh · 16/12/2011 22:39

Yep, I like Twilight but it in no way compares to the True Blood or Buffy books. That's real vampire fiction.

Michiem · 03/01/2012 06:52

Loved The twilight books, but totally grew up on Anne Rice who is still the modern queen of vamp/goth books for me. Meyer is a less imaginative version but found her books easy to get sucked into. Although I dislike Bella and Edward as characters (even more so after watching the films) I love her mythology behind the stories and the werewolves are my favourites. In America the fact that she's a Mormon seems to colour a lot of the debate about her plot lines, I find it hard to say that her religious background detracts from the story
