explain? not quite awake yet...

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 07:59

I can't, all I know is what it says on that page. Someone has written a version of Pride and Prejudice with zombies in.

Oh, and zombies were spotted in Austin. (Ok, or someone hacked into the highway sign ...)

On the lines of :

It is a truth universally acknowledged that a gnawing zombie in possession of a warehouse of bloodied stumps of former colleagues must be in need of a wife??

How on earth did you find that?

snigger · 30/01/2009 08:03

The author also wrote The Big Book Of Porn.

I have to stop looking at threads like this, the kids are looking at me askance as I giggle to myself.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 08:05

I found it on t'internet. Where else?

I would say:

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of BRAAAAAAINNNS!!!

aaaah, 't internet

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 13:14

Is ti bad that I want that book?

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 18:46

Um ... we already have all the other zombie books (including Walking Dead or whatever that series is called) ... so we'll probably get this one. Actually, someone will probably buy it for DH, he's well known for his zombie plans ...

janeite · 30/01/2009 18:49

Lol - sounds right up my street!

laumiere · 30/01/2009 18:56

Heh, my friends and I wrote a version of Pride and Prejudice with Aliens and Predators in it....

TwoIfBySea · 30/01/2009 21:08

Because what Pride and Prejudice really lacked was a few of the undead wandering around. Added interest at the assemblies that is f'sure!

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 21:26

I think a lot of old literature was sparse on zombies ...

OP posts:
janeite · 30/01/2009 21:27

The first half of "Jane Eyre" would be a far better book with the addition of a few zombies and perhaps even a werewolf or two.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 21:32

Shakespeare could really do with some zombies ...

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 21:36

I reckon that Madame Bovary could do with some Zombie. Or she could come back as a Zombie.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 21:43

Oh, god, what's the one with the woman throwing herself under a train? The Russian one with all the sodding patronymics. If they took out all the patronymics, there would be much more room for zombies. Anna Karenina.

DH reckons Thomas the Tank Engine and the Mr Men stories need zombies.

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 21:45

Oh God, yes!
Zombies of the Island of Sodor.

NotQuiteCockney · 30/01/2009 21:47

I guess it couldn't be worse than the 'new' Thomas books. Good god those are dire.

OP posts:
francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 21:51

New books? Thankfully I think I've missed them

janeite · 30/01/2009 21:55

New improved book titles?

"Gone With The Zombies"
"A Hundred Years Of Zombietude"
"My Family And Other Zombies"
"The Loneliness Of The Long Distance Zombie"

francagoestohollywood · 30/01/2009 22:00

Three Zombies in a boat?
American psycho zombie: Kill Kill Kill

I'd love to read gone with the zombie
