Need a couple of suggestions for bookgroup please my lovelies. Can't let the fact that I have DTs been seen as a hindrance to my book browsing. We've just read Andrea Levy's Small Island and the Victorian House (interesting but not light or easy). So, can you help? Please?

The Underground Man - Mick Jackson. FInally got around to reading it after putting it off for years. Loved it to bits. It's quite short so good for book groups!

Just read 'the time traveller's wife' by ? Audrey Niffeneger and 'The American Boy' by can't remember but could look it up. Both so good I can't believe it. Apparently both were recommended by Richard and Judy. Almost enough to make me think of watching their programme...

You girlies are quick. I'm writing the suggestions down, they're a picky lot. We were considering the Time Traveller's Wife. Any good?

At the risk of boring everyone on here witless banging on about it again I would suggest The Way the Crow Flies . I'm reading The Diary of an Ordinary Woman at the moment which is surprisingly gripping. I also recently read Windfalls (although in paperback!) which was harrowing but very absorbing. Any good?
