have you seen Jacob? I tried to find one with a shirt on but theres not that many, lol

Miyazaki · 24/09/2008 18:56

I was in a pretty major mood with my dh when I finished a time travellers wife.

I was all... Henry... sigh.

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 24/09/2008 18:59

He looks too small to be jacob, then again hes supposed to small and young in Twilight isn't he?

I suppose they'll bulk him up when they start filming the next film!

OriginalMrsEdwardCullen · 24/09/2008 19:03

he is lovely, but needs feeding up to be the jacob of the end books!!!!

he will have a few fans tho

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 24/09/2008 19:05

They will have to feed him steroids!

DrHorrible · 24/09/2008 19:13

I think Jacob'll grow just fine - he is at that age

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 24/09/2008 19:23

I'm actually not convinced they will do a good job ... not the actors, Hollywood I mean.

The amount of time in Twilight thats dedicated to Edward and Bella getting to know each other, falling in love and the intense descripitions of how when Edward even just looks at Bella for a second makes her forget to breathe... I just don't see how they will transfer that to the screen.

Im worried that the film will just be 90% about James and 'the hunt' Rather than Edward and Bella IYWWIM?

DrHorrible · 24/09/2008 19:26

it most likely will be. you have to do as i did with northern lights and harry potter.

It is a film of a Good Story, and NOT a live version of the books you love.

HarryAndRon · 24/09/2008 19:27

well, if you look at how much they cut out of harry potter, I can understand your fear!!!

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 24/09/2008 19:32

Yes, i will have to remember that.

Am still very, very excited though!

But I will be either 40 weeks pregnant..or just had a baby...or in labour!

Whichever it is Im going to see it on its release day!

MrsWeasley · 24/09/2008 20:33

LOL at fredandgeorge's ello mum.

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoul · 24/09/2008 20:46

Perhaps we should form a Twilight film party, then we can be there to help if Enchanted goes into labour!

and me, 'ello from me too....

EnchantedWithEdwardCullen · 24/09/2008 20:52

If I give birth in the cinema I shall name her Bella

I do actully love the name Rosalie but DH has banned it

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoul · 24/09/2008 20:53

Ahem, one of mine has a similar name, she was born before I read the books though
I shall bring the hot water and towels, or a birthing pool if you'd prefer ...

I asked my cousin if she would come to the cinema to see it with me yesterday.

She said yes but I bet she was like ...

Me and a bunch of 12 year olds! pmsl

I need to find someone in Manchester that is Twilight mad (and over 12)!

BexieID · 24/09/2008 20:58

Will have to add these books to my xmas list!

GeorgeAndFred · 24/09/2008 21:00

add in 'the host' by her as well.

it is very different, but very good, and will make you at times too!

EdwardCullenCanHaveMySoul · 24/09/2008 21:02

Ahh, some way out from Manchester Enchanted unless I'd be there!
Bexie - put them on your list and then prepare for marital discord - no one comes close to Edward Cullen and it is quite depressing!!

OP posts:
BexieID · 24/09/2008 21:58

lol, I really enyoyed The Black Magicians trilogy, the Tales of the Otori trilogy and His Dark Materials trilogy! I think these books will make 16 books on my xmas list now!

WeDoTheWeirdStuff · 24/09/2008 22:01

bexie - Do the Old Kingdom Trilogy by Garth Nix too. Ooh and the assassin/liveship/fools trilogies by robin hobb

BexieID · 24/09/2008 22:09

Someone was going to lend me her Robin Hobb books, but that was before I moved to Scotland. I don't read as much as I did. I used to read on my lunch break at work, but now work p/t. You would think i'd have more time to read, lol.

My SIL loves reading, so will ask her if she has the Garth Nix books. Could always get her them for xmas .

WeDoTheWeirdStuff · 24/09/2008 22:14

Make sure you go for Old Kingdom (Sabriel etc) and NOT keys to the kingdom (Mister Monday etc) - one set is far superior to the other!
