My mistake, was multi tasking ,meant Clark Cable-Gone with the wind

Starbear · 11/09/2008 22:11

Doris day films and Goldie Hawn (esp. Private Benjamin) They are great comic actors. Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis in Some Like it Hot. Agree Cher in the Mask (cried my eyes out)
Johnny Depp in almost anything.
One to watch out for Jason Statham in Transporter & The Bank Job. Fab Actor.
Just on looks of course Paul Newman and Errol Flynn. P.S Gone with the Wind Clark Gable...

LottieJ - oh I know!!

Bette Davis too, of course! No-one else could have played that character in Now Voyager.

Peter Lorre in Casablanca.
Dustin Hoffman in the Graduate
Alec Guiness in Kind Hearts and Coronets.

This thread is fab - I've been remembering so many brilliant films and actors all evening. Though it has made me realise I really should start watching more films made after 1950!

lottiejenkins · 11/09/2008 22:28

Grace Kelly in High Society
Kate Hepburn in Bringing up Baby!!!

Harrison Ford as Han Solo

DaphneMoon · 12/09/2008 12:20

Agree with Lottie on Cary Grant, huge fan. and Starbear Some like it hot is my favourite film, great casting. Tony Curtis does an impression of Cary Grant in this when he dresses up as the millionaire to try and impress Marylin Monroe. It was a great impression.

DaphneMoon · 12/09/2008 12:22

Oh forgot to mention, love Johnny Depp too, his Jack Sparrow character is brill.

Ben Stiller, a bit typecast these days, but just love him to bits especially in Meet the Fockers, great casting in that too.

McDreamy · 12/09/2008 12:29

Edward Norton in Primal Fear
