I know it’s not actually ‘reading’ but I have a newborn and I haven’t managed to read anything for pleasure for a while now, so dh got me an audible subscription for Christmas.

I'm looking for light hearted, Im currently sleepless on mat leave, and for work usually I spend all my time reading a lot of heavy reports, so when I’m relaxing I like my tv and my books to be trash really, I’m a Kardashians, Emily in Paris, Bridgerton girlie.

can you recommend anything to use my credits on, but also if there’s anything included on the plus subscription?

Sophie Kinsella’s books are light hearted and funny. I particularly recommend the Shopaholic series.

Have a look at Christmas at the Beach Hut by Veronica Henry.

I absolutely love the Harry Potter series being read by Stephen Fry, and the Thursday murder club series are very easy listening.

You might like Entitled, the exposé about (former) Prince Andrew? There's a lot about Fergie too, and it's quite salacious in parts!

I really like Marian Keyes, and Maeve Binchy is very good too and not nearly as cosy as some think.

The Janet Evanovich Stephanie Plum books are proper chewing gum for the brain, and very funny (there's a lot of them and they do get a bit 'samey' after a while but I find I still enjoy them with a bit of a break now and then).

Abby Jimenez fits your brief - try the trilogy that starts with Part Of Your World

I’ve just read my first Maeve Binchy, A Week in Winter, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Her later books (about Evening Class onwards) loosly link together so you meet some of the characters in multiple books, which is lovely. Her short stories are excellent too.

Yes, came here to say the same. Have just listened to it.

Mapp and Lucia books by EF Benson, there are six of them.
Alternatively “The Diary of a Provincial Lady” by EM Delafield.
All small town light comedy written in the 1920s and 1930s, very funny and read by Georgina Sutton, who is also marvellous.

I’ve been enjoying the Ruth Jones books, they are lovely - light, easy listening ☺️
