Recommend me a complete series

I’ll basically read anything, I love all books. But I’m getting increasingly frustrated to keep reading things, only to get three or four books in and realise it’s not finished yet.

Can you recommend me a series that’s complete? Bonus points if it’s available on Kindle Unlimited

Have you read the seven sisters by lucinda Riley? Another old one is Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M Auel

Elpheba · 02/08/2025 18:36

Came on here to say Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley!
Or wild Isle by Karen Swan. But I think Seven Sisters is a bit better.

Buttalapasta · 02/08/2025 18:57

I have just started the Cazalet chronicles and am really enjoying them so far.

IDontDrinkTea · 02/08/2025 19:33

Thank you.

I’ve read the 7 sisters - ironically that was one that would have perhaps been better left unfinished, as the last one wasn’t anywhere near as good as the others!

I shall investigate some of the suggestions!

Caro Fraser's Caper Court series - there are 9 of them - barristers behaving badly probably sums them up! Mainly focused on a merry-go-round of personal relationships but I find the legal detail in them interesting too. Good if you like novels where people get their come-uppance. Caro Fraser sadly was terminally ill when she finished the series, and she does tie up absolutely every loose end in the last book, which is very satisfying.

Elena Ferrante's Neapolitan series, 5 in the series.

Tortielady · 02/08/2025 20:59

Lindsey Davis's Falco series - murder mysteries set in Ancient Rome during the time of Vespasian. For those of us whose knowledge of Rome is limited to Julius Caesar, Claudius and Caligula, Vespasian (a good egg by the standards of the time) is a revelation. There are 20 Falco books and to date, 13 books about Falco's daughter, Flavia Albia, set in the time of Vespasian's son, the paranoid Domition.

Ammophila · 02/08/2025 21:01

Nicci French's Frieda Klein series. There's 8 in total.

Dilbertian · 02/08/2025 21:30

The Hornblower books. Seven in the series IIRC. A rollicking good historical fiction.

Enko · 02/08/2025 22:07

I will second Jean Auel Earth Children

PermanentTemporary · 02/08/2025 22:09

The Cazalet Chronicles. But ignore the 5th one, it was written because she was a bit broke and it’s not very good.

The Balkan Trilogy by Olivia Manning.

dontcomeatme · 03/08/2025 08:19

Tami Hoag The Oak Knoll trilogy. The last book takes a little patience to get into, not as good as the others but worth the read in the end.

DisplayPurposesOnly · 03/08/2025 08:33

Patricia Wentworth - Miss Silver series
P F Chisholm - Sir Robert Carey series
Cora Harrison - Reverend Mother series
Sue Grafton - A to Z series (sadly, finishes at Y)

HashtagSadTimes · 03/08/2025 09:01

Karl Ove Knausgaard: My struggle, 6 books. All published.
