Please could anyone help me find a book?. I read about it on here either last summer or in 2023. I’m sure it was described as life-changing and a must-read by several people and recommended loads!

I can’t remember the plot, but I thought it had a door on the cover and possibly has ‘number’ in the title eg Number 42 or similar.

I feel as if it wasn’t a summer thriller, so not The Housemaid or of that ilk.

I thought I’d added it to my Amazon basket but if I did it has disappeared Confused

I realise this is hopelessly tenuous but thought it might strike a chord with someone. Chat GPT hasn’t helped.

All Fours? Not a thriller but certainly had a few thrills (!) with a theme of blowing up your life (to have hot if ultimately weirdy sex).

Would it be the new book by Abraham Verghese - he wrote The Cutting Stone (which I read as so many people raved about it - I found it too overwhelming as if the author tried to squeeze every life experience possible into it)

Was it number 32 by Cassie Steward?

OMG yes it was!!! I recognised the cover immediately. I’m so grateful to you Grin But…is it any good?

Glad to have helped! I actually read it off the back of a recommendation here too, so I remembered. It was good but not life changing or anything. I don't really get the hype. Still a good read though!

I think I must have seen it recommended on TikTok, hence why I had a memory of the cover with a door.

I was coming on to say this too. I loved it!

Was it Anxious People by Fredrik Backman? The cover has house windows on it. It was recommended a lot on here so I bought it for my kindle - still haven't got round to reading it though.

No idea if this was your book OP but I do love this!

I ended up abandoning this, I quite like his style of writing but just couldn’t get into it at all, I’ll maybe give it another go.

All Fours by Miranda July?

It could have been this. I can see how people might think it life changing. If you want to emulate a completely self absorbed, money squandering lousy parent.
