Spoilers in this post.

I liked it! I thought it was a fun read. I think I want to read it again at some point because I think there was a thread of commonalities between all the lives that I didn't always notice. Seafood was one of them, and getting sick from eating seafood. I think the point was that amongst all of our unique experiences, we're all just jogging along doing much the same thing. I'm trying to think of the othes I noticed... definitely need to read it again to spot them.

I thought it was overhyped bollox with fear too much pointless page filler about the main characters backstory with I found boring. More information about the other characters snd the effect of them would have made it more interesting. I gave it two stars and I thought that was generous!

It’s been a while since I read it but yes I loved it. The idea of knowing your own death age and the impact that would have on your life. It found it fascinating.
I do like Lianne Mortiary , Three wishes and Truly Madly, Guilty are very good.

I used to love Liane Moriarty's books, and have read all her adult books, but began to go off them with "Nine Perfect Strangers". I've liked each of the two successive books less and less. Yes, I keep on reading them in the hope that the pleasure returns, but it's being a bit of a chore and I can see a parting of the ways in the near future.

One of the things I enjoyed in her earlier books was that I recognised places. In one book I recognised a restaurant I had eaten at several times and a cinema I used to frequently attend. Maybe her books have lost that feeling of "Australiana" as she now seems to be aiming more for an international market. Obviously there's nothing wrong with that, but perhaps that was a lot of the appeal for me.

Completely agree @JuliaLivilla. A real shame, as is the fact that the recent television adaptations have been USA based, not Australian. I think this was particularly problematic for Apples Never Fall, which admittedly isn’t the best of her novels anyway.
