Kindle remote page turner - how to use

I came across the concept of a kindle remote page turner a while ago and didn't really understand when or how you'd use it. MIL reads loads on her kindle and has just injured her wrist and is struggling to hold her kindle comfortably. Would a remote page turner help? If so, how? How do you hold the kindle?

I haven't heard of a Kindle remote. However, if your MiL has problems holding her Kindle, would a holder like this one help? It's a Moko 6.8inch; I got one each for my and my DH's Paperwhites and they work really well. You need a surface to put the holder on, but a pillow across MiL's lap while she's sat up in bed would probably work. Otherwise, the arm of a chair, a little table or other surface would work. There's a strap at the back which fits the left hand; depending on which hand is injured it might work now.

I got one. It works by clipping it to the kindle and you have a clicker that you hold. I didn't use it for long. You often have to move the clip on the kindle to get it to work and I found it hurt my hand after clicking for a long time- I do read a lot though.

You can get stands for kindles. Will try and find what I mean.
