Is it any good?
I've got a credit on Audible that I need to use up.

I've just listened to, and enjoyed, Unruly by David Mitchell which was my very first audible book.

I got it as an audio book with one of my very first credits. I would say it is very long and Stephen Fry's voice is very hypnotic. I kept falling asleep while listening. If I'm honest i felt it droned on a bit. I now know i prefer fast paced books with a story that keeps me hooked.

I'd start with Mythos first I think.

I tried reading the book. Though explained in a straightforward manner, there are too many gods & goddesses for me to keep up with! How the Greeks remembered them all is amazing. I gave up half way through.

I found it too long and complicated! But I read/listen to relax and be entertained , not necessarily to learn.

I too loved Unruly. Just finished it for a second time.

It was quite good but there are long sections on word evolution and how Greek words/ideas have become part of what we know today, which is v interesting but not so much in the “retelling myths” camp. We’d just listened to Neil gaiman Norse myths which was an excellent myths retelling and had been after more of the same. But as a more historical book I think it would be good.

We love listening to it while driving on long trips, he manages to inject some humour into the myths.
Listening to any audiobook while reclining sends me to sleep, while upright and concentrating on the road I can stay awake Grin
