My Newborn baby is a fussy sleeper

Hi all, my newborn of 7 weeks has recently started to get fussy when it comes to night time. We usually feed her, change her bum etc. before bed and she without fail has a little tantrum every evening just before bed. She fights her sleep so much that she cries because she's overtired. Is there anything anyone can suggest that would help her sleep?

She's a newborn, it's not unusual for them to get fussy in the evenings. They can also change ridiculous fast at this age you think they are settled, then they have a growth spurt and need far more feeding or cuddling and just change overnight. This will happen multiple times while they are a baby so get used to them changing regularly.

Obviously I know she's still a newborn and that she won't have a regular sleeping pattern no where near yet but it's always the same time every evening. Just looking for any special tips on how to settle a bit more as this is my first baby and I've pretty much tried everything I can think of🤣

When you say she's fussy what do you mean? Two of mine liked to grumble themselves to sleep not crying as such but still quite noisy. If I picked them up they'd cry so I just used to put my hand on their tummy, they also liked to hold a muslin as they were dropping off.

Cluster feeding behaviour. It’s what breast feed babies do to Mum’s milk supply. Even if she is formula feed she will still behave this way.
