I've just finished Weyward by Emilia Hart and I'm looking for something witchy and magical to read next. I'd be grateful for any recommendations!

Have you read the Practical Magic series by Alice Hoffman? My favourite of the series is Magic Lessons, which goes back to tell the story of Maria Owens. It could be read as a standalone novel as all the rest merely reference her as an ancestor from their past.

Thanks @BarbaraBuncle - I read Practical Magic (I think the first one) a few years ago but I didn't realise there was a series. Will definitely give those a go!

I really enjoyed Her Majesty’s Royal Coven by Juno Dawson, there is a sequel to it, but haven’t read that just yet.

Snow Child - Eowyn Ivan - not Witcher, more magical, but I think you would like it.

The Gisburn Witch

There is also The Bass Rock by Evie Wyld. I've seen some reviews comparing it to Weyward, because of its different timelines and witchy theme. I haven't read it yet, so can't really say any more about it.

The familiars by Stacy Hall?

I loved Weyward too. I'm reading The Leviathan by Rosie Andrews just now. It's quite similar. Any books by Laura Purcell are also in the same vein.

Thanks for all the recommendations! I have read The Snow Child, The Familiars and a couple of Laura Purcell (enjoyed them all) and have added the rest to my list - The Leviathon especially is appealing to me!

Just wanted to mention The Mercies by Kiran Millwood Hargrove - an amazing book. Based on witch trials rather than magic powers but I loved it and would highly recommend.

The Lighthouse Witches by CJ Cooke
The Burnings by Naomi Kelsey
The Whispering Muse by Laura Purcell if you haven’t read it yet! (not strictly Witches but spooky and brilliant)
The Revels by Stacey Thomas
Cunning Women by Elizabeth Lee

I went into Waterstones yesterday and bought Fyneshade and The Cloisters. I've started Fyneshade and it is looking good - very well written.

Thanks for the recommendations - I have a good list going now!
