Ds used to be a big reader but has not read much recently I was thinking to try a different tactic and suggest biographies. He is into 90s music just now so wondered about that line. Or any other suggestions? Comedians maybe. Or any particularly good autobiography.

Is he into football, probably doesn't need to be for my recommendation.
Jimmy Bullard the football player, dp listened to the audio book on holiday one year, laying on a sunbed in Greece, headphones in, laughing his head off (everyone was looking at him!).

Not massively in to football but it might go down well if it’s funny so I will check it out

Bob Mortimer’s autobiography is also very funny.

Oh and I really enjoyed Dave Grohl’s autobiography

My 13 year old has just enjoyed Bear Grylls autobiography. Quite long, but very short chapters so didn't feel too taxing.

Robert Webb’s is good ‘How not to be a Boy’
Also Chris Packham ‘Fingers in the Sparkle Jar’

Good Pop, Bad Pop by Jarvis Cocker is nice too, as he likes 90s music.

Another football one. Peter Crouch's book is pretty good.

Peter Kay.

Been a while since I've read it so can't remember entirely how sweary/dark it gets, but Frankie Boyle's autobiography was far funnier than his actual material.

Agree on the Bear Grylls one.

Brian Blessed's autobiography had me laughing out loud. He has also recorded it onto audiobook.

Stephen Fry's autobiography Moab is my Washpot is fantastic as well.

I read and re-read Roald Dahl's two autobiographies as a kid –Boy and Going Solo.

On the 90s musician front, I seem to remember enjoying Alex James' autobiography.
Brett Anderson's more recent autobiographies are also excellent.
