A long shot but can anyone identify this book?

I remember as a child in the early 90s reading a book at an older relative’s house, I think it had belonged to one of her children who were much older than me, so probably published in the 1970s or 1980s. It was a non-fiction book about nocturnal wildlife in an urban setting - lots of owls, foxes etc. I remember loving the illustrations in it. It had a paperback and was quite a thin book, and I think the design, fonts on the cover etc had a 70s feel to them.
I’ve googled many times and never can find it as I don’t know the exact name. Sadly was cleared out of the relatives house years ago also.

Was it the animals of Farthing Wood?

AmyDubanowski · 03/04/2024 22:02

@lndnbrdge91 no although I did love that! No the book I remember was definitely non-fiction. I remember there being a lot of bats in it, foxes rummaging in dustbins I think, but it wasn’t a fictional story if that makes sense.

Sorry totally missed the non fiction part!

Could it have been a Ladybird book?

AmyDubanowski · 05/04/2024 08:07

@Riverlee No I don’t think so but thanks anyway

If it was a small book then maybe one of the I spy books that were very popular then ?
