I've got 3 audible credits to use before I properly cancel my monthly subscription on Friday. Currently paused. Please help me choose some books! I currently lean towards non fiction for audio books. I listen while walking usually, in the bath, pottering. Thank you!

I've recently enjoyed:

Fiction: Lessons in Chemistry, the book of form and emptiness, daisy Jones (all audio). And easy fiction I've read on my kindle: sorrow and bliss, Kate Atkinson short stories, french braid, the keeper of stories, I'm sorry you feel that way.

Non fiction on audio: The Louis Theroux, Britney, Harry Hill and Miriam Margolis books. Ultra processed people. Seven Ages of Death written by a guy who does autopsies and investigates crime scenes.

Heart's Invisible Furies is engaging but not too demanding and lovely Irish narrator. Mrs Benson's Beetle was enjoyable and fun.

The Crooked Heart trilogy. Old Baggage is read by Joanna Scanlan if you want to make the most of a credit and I'd say you're fine to start with that one.

I binged Richard E Grant reading The Sea, The Sea but that's maybe an acquired taste. I have a soft spot for him - it did get a bit daft in places with the melodrama but he carries it well!

Non fiction Sinead O'connor did a fantastic job reading her autobiography.

If you like Seven Ages of Death, try Written In Bone by Sue Black. She's a forensic anthropologist and I could listen to her all day - her knowledge and humanity are exceptional.

On a completely different tack, The Rose Code by Kate Quinn was fab.

Have you read Rachel's holiday and Rachel again? Marian Keyes does the audio for the latter. I think I've heard that she has re-recorded Rachel's holiday and narrates that as well. She's an amazing narrator - so funny and poignant.

My favourite from 2023 was Bob mortimers autobiography. It was really great
Also the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo was good as an audiobook. I listened to it after finishing daisy jones and enjoyed it almost as much!
