Don't go by what I say though, I often do that with books, then go back to them another time and love them. Have to be in the mood!

I loved Foucault's Pendulum the first time I read it. The sheer amount of information, all the little roads it leads you down and the way everything slots together is fascinating. As soon as I finished it I wanted to start reading it again.

Butbutbut... that was ten years ago, pre-children, at a time when I had loads of time to read and was travelling by train an hour each way to work every day. I tried FP again a few months back - did my best but just faded out after a couple of chapters. I just don't have the time to sit down for a couple of hours each time and fully concentrate on it, as you really need to do with this book as it's quite complex with lots to take in. I'm going to leave it until a stage (heaven knows when) when I'm able to "work" at it properly.
