Books set in Yorkshire/Yorkshire Dales

Currently on holiday here and it's really captured my imagination. Looking for some recommendations for books set in this area please.

I really enjoyed the Jack Sheffield books about his experiences as a rural primary school head in the Dales in the late 1970's.

Behind The Scenes at the Museum by Kate Atkinson is mostly set in York and surrounds - it is a wonderful book. Also her Jackson Brodie series has many parts set in Yorkshire. If you have never read her you should. I adore all her twisty turns and back and forth through time.

The Offing by Benjamin Myers is exceptional and also set near the coast in Yorkshire.

Thanks everyone. I visited an independent bookshop in Richmond and picked up Yorkshire there and back by Andrew Martin and also visited a wonderful bookshop in Pickering and bought The Barn by Sally Coulthard. Looking forward to reading some of the fantastic fiction you've all mentioned too!
