My son and I have enjoyed reading the Faraway Tree Series and the Wishing Chair books at bedtime. I'd like to read him more of her books but not sure where to go next. Famous 5? Secret 7? (What's the difference?)

Or The adventure books?

I never read these as a child. My son is 7 but quite a young 7.

Hope you're censoring as you go-they're pretty dreadful you know!

Most 20th-century dictators were keen on censoring as well. It used to be a dirty word. Disturbing to see somebody use it as a positive thing!! Orwell must be rolling in his grave.

@JaneyGee Disturbing to think of parents being happy to expose their children to sexism, racism, classism, body shaming, bullying presented as normal, funny or even beneficial....Ah well, each to their own, as they say.
