I’ve really enjoyed it and didn’t want it to end. Please recommend a similar book which I won’t want to put down. Prior to this I read Im sorry you feel that way and couldn’t wait to finish it as it was so dull.

Oh, ha, I’ve just finished “I’m
Sorry You Feel That Way” and was about to recommend that! Have you read any Katherine Heiny? Standard Deviation and Early Morning Riser both wonderful and very funny.

SweetSakura · 14/04/2023 10:27

Yes I was just thinking Katherine Heiny might fit the bill , her books always have me chuckling away and feel full of insight

loved Lessons in Chemistry! Just read a review of the latest Katherine Heiny and have added it to my (extensive) list.

Also loved Lessons in chemistry! It was fantastic.

Try Valley of the Dolls by Jacqueline Susann.
Although published in the 1960's it's an epic story of 3 women and surprisingly feminist for a novel of that time.

I loved Lessons in Chemistry. I followed it with How to Kill Your Family which I really enjoyed.

SweetSakura · 14/04/2023 11:30

Ah yes I loved that book @FluffyTrousers and keep it in a prominent place on the bookshelf now just to keep my family on their toes Grin

I loved Lessons in Chemistry and also followed it with How To Kill your Family which I utterly loathed. Least favourite book of last year.

What about We Are All Completely Beside Ourselves? Much older book, but so good.
