As the title suggests. Looking for books I possibly haven't read on the subjects above.

Thanks for your time!

Scabby Queen
Romantic comedy which is the new one by Curtis Sittenfeld. Haven't read it but from the reviews it sounds like it ticks your boxes.

About fame - Easy Riders Raging Bulls. Film Industry focus but very telling about fame.

Dawnie Walton, The Final Revival of Opal & Nev
A lot of the story here is also told through interviews - this was longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction last year but has been a bit overshadowed by Daisy Jones & The Six, It's also very readable and I think I enjoyed it more. The author and the singer Opal are African-American.

Oh, and it's 99p for Kindle at the moment, and probably available from libraries etc.

Have you considered biographies of famous people?

The Devil wears Prada- fashion plus fashion magazines.

What about Valley of the Dolls?

Nick Hornby's Juliet, Naked is a good read about an obsessive music fan and the singer/songwriter he obsesses over. It's more about nerdiness than stalkery.

@Drywhitefruitycidergin Powder was a great novel. Really enjoyed that.

The Kid Stays in the Picture by Robert Evans (non-fiction) is really good from an insider perspective.

Gimme More by Liza Cody is a great book about the music industry. It was written in the 90s, and set in the 90s but with throwbacks to events of the 70s from the pov of a Marianne Faithfull type character.

Better than Daisy Jones and the Six imo.

Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell, is v good , albeit in a typically off the wall DM way.

I really enjoyed Utopia Avenue by David Mitchell, which is about a fictional 1970s rock group.

She's a Rainbow. The extraordinary life of Anita Pallenberg by Simon Wells.

Has anyone mentioned The Devil Wears Prada, by Lauren Weisberger? It's a roman-a-clef, so pretty accurate.
