Christie Barlow's Love Heart lane series is great! Got me back into reading after a long break.

You probably already know that Sophie Kinsella also writes books under her real name of Madeline Wickham, the books are a bit more serious but still enjoyable.

I also like Jane Green, Plum Sykes, Jill Mansell and Adele Parks

Mhairi McFarlane - you will NOT be disappointed, especially Here's Looking at You!

Heidi Swain books are great.

Definitely second Mhairi McFarlane and Jenny Colgan, and you may well enjoy Millie Johnson. The Birds and the Bees is my favourite; the storylines in her more recent books are a bit more depressing I feel.
I've just started Sara Cox's book, Thrown, and am really enjoying it so that might be worth a try.
@Liorae why bother with that snide comment? If this kind of book isn't for you, I can't understand why you'd take the time and trouble to open the thread and type out such a mean-spirited thing.
