Do you remember all the books you've read?

I'm shocked that I can barely remember what happens in books I've read.
Some books have stayed with me but many, I barely remember.
There's a thread on Blood Orange which is a book I've read and enjoyed. I have no idea what the thread is going on about and I can't remember a thing.
How normal is this?

@LizzieB44 that’s amazing! I was thinking you must be a professional book reviewer, or something like that.

No I have always been an avid reader but very few stay with me. I rarely read anything twice though so the blurb is enough to trigger a recollection that I've already read it.

I remember very few in great detail. Some stay with me always, some fade within a week. I can usually remember if I’ve read a book even if I can’t tell you anything more than if I enjoyed it or not. Saying that though, I look back on some of my star ratings on Goodreads and I’m surprised often by what I gave.

I do keep a list of what I’ve read but I’m also thinking of keeping notes on my thoughts too.

So pleased you asked this question. This is me - I read loads but rarely remember the story a few weeks later. Always thought it was only me.
