Can anyone recommend some laugh out loud/feel good books set in the 80s please? I need a break from my usual thriller/horror.

@Redeyed
I read a Jack Sheffield book a few years back and really enjoyed it. I think I had seen somewhere online that the books were classed as fiction. I wonder if it's a case of the stories being real, just the names being changed? Great books, in any case!

Adrian McKinty's Sean Duffy novels.
Set in NI in the troubles but supremely witty and enjoyable reads.

Just ordered some of these to try out. Thanks
