FMF can I butt in and offer some advice? I thought if this was ever done again, the thing to do would be to insist that some kind of book gets posted on the set date each month

it fell apart last time because people were saying "oh i haven't finished it, I will post next week" and then "I haven't received a book, so I can't post anything on"

it ended up a shambles unfortunately

I would be very strict and say if you don't post SOMETHING each month then you are considered to have bowed out - if you didn't get the book you were meant to get then send a charity 50p book on, but keep the chain moving

Yes, it's true, life gets in the way of finishing books sometimes, so I understand that sometimes you may not have finished a book by the time the posting deadline comes around. So if you really must finish the book, make sure you post some other book to the next poster. It is very frustrating for people waiting and waiting for books and getting nothing, despite the fact that they have been posting books on....

Normally I beg people to borrow books from a library instead of getting them from friends, so that the author gets a few pennies each time someone reads the book, but as it's MN....

I'll donate a copy of my first novel, PLAYING WITH THE MOON to the borrowing circle. Anyone who likes it might possibly think about voting for me on the World Book Day website? I'm trying to get onto the shortlist of ten 'Hidden Gems'.

Just tell me who to mail the book to.
