with nothing sad or scary in them at all, preferably with laugh out loud moments too! I've been bingeing PG Wodehouse and feel quite bereft now I'm finished. I'd like to listen to more in a similar vein, not the content I don't mean, but the relaxing funny style you can get away with only half listening to while you do other stuff.

Terry Pratchett? I always like The Colour of Magic, Wyrd Sisters and Hogfather.

I love the Jodi Taylor 'Chronicles of St Mary's' books. However her characters tend to have quite hard hitting backstories under all the funny lovable fluff.

The best two audiobooks I've enjoyed that fit your bill are:

The Sound of Laughter by Peter Kay - he reads it himself which makes it even funnier and he ad libs & goes off-book a lot! Very funny and he's such a family man that it's pretty heart warming.

The Tent, The Bucket & Me by Emma Kennedy - basically it's all about her family & their disastrous summer holidays while she was growing up. Another very easy entertaining listen. I'm always recommending this one whenever anyone says they want something fun and easy.

Will end up re-listening to both of these at some point!

I have just got The Windsor Knot. It was free from the Audible Plus library. A murder takes place in Windsor Castle. Fortunately the Queen Moonlights as a private detective.

I like a book I can dip into on a dog walk without being too deep. We

I've just finished Sophie Ellis Bextor's Spinning Plates on Audible. Some serious stuff there but generally light and fun. Excellent listen for long car journeys or for long adult soaks in the bath!

If it's the period tone you're after, with comedy elements, I recommend trying the Mapp & Lucia books by EF Benson. There are 6 books, available on Audible in 2 compilations of 3 books each. I wasn't sure when I started it but I've nearly finished the first set & am loving it, definitely getting the second set next.
