They are all recent and in good condition.

Have you explored places in your own area, where it would be so much less of a bother?

Personally, I wish people would avoid Amazon. Do people there use Craigslist for buying/selling?

Here's this:

Do you need to sell them? If donation could be an option then the National Trust has second hand book shops and we donated loads to our local one when we had a big clear out of books neither of us (nor the DC) wanted any longer.

Unless they’re textbook-type books used for university, you won’t get much for selling modern fiction books. You can sell a job lot through a website like WeBuyBooks.

Ziffit is easy to use but you won’t get much for each book.

bibliomania · 20/11/2021 08:07

I cleared out a few using Ziffit. I agree that the money want great, but I was mainly going for a clear out so she money was a bonus. Might be worth downloading a couple of apps - if you scan the barcode, you'll get an instant quote so you can decide if it's worth your while.

I use Zapper, but you normally only get a few pence per book.

It's easy though - you use the app to scan the barcodes and zapper cover the postage via Hermes. I arrange for Hermes to collect from me so I don't need to drop off a huge parcel anywhere

*the money wasn't great

We tried Magpie and Ziffit when we were clearing out a mountain of books. So many weren't accepted, and those that were were only worth a few pence each. In the end we took them to a charity shop.

SummerOrAutumn · 20/11/2021 11:15

We looked into selling them online & the price we would have got from Magpie (for the ones they were willing to accept) was just a few pence. It wasn't worth doing in the end. But the National Trust took the lot - 4 big crate loads.

Another who agrees that the online book selling is not worth the bother. Took ours to the charity shop.
