Not gonna lie, I've spent the last couple of years just reading/listening to one rather trashy genre and I've reached saturation.

The one exception to this is I just finished listening Troubled Blood - love those since the start.

If I like Strike what else might I enjoy? I don't like chick lit type stuff nor anything about war and conflict.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated 😀

Do you like historical fiction?

The Shardlake series are great and similar to Strike in that they are detective murder solving themes thing (can’t think of the right words but Shardlake has got a spinal deformity and not a false leg. And he’s a lawyer not a ex military police man. And it’s in Tudor times so no landrovers. And there’s no will they won’t they love interest. Shardlake’s side kick is a foul mouthed misanthrope.
But apart from those things they are very similar.

I haven't read Strike (but I may well start now!) but the best series I have ever read is by Helen Fields - first one is called Perfect remains. Brilliant.

Thanks I'll check those out.

@OopsUp part of the reason I love the Strike audiobooks is they're narrated by Robert Glenister and he's so very good!!

The Thursday detective club (something like that) is good. Lighthearted and a detective story.

I love the Strike series and would suggest Elly Griffiths' Ruth Galloway series and Jane Casey's Maeve Kerrigan series
