Please recommend a page turner, not necessarily crime?

I find myself immediately bored by stories from the perspectives of police/FBI/private investigators. I wouldn't say i dislike the crime genre completely, but I just find a lot featuring those to be done to death.

I would love to get my teeth into a great book though, any ideas?

Was just going to say Education by Tara Westover it is fascinating and a true story a real story of survival against the odds

Coming back to say I've just finished the most incredible book. A bit like Educated. A memoir (no crime involved!) but an absolute page turner from beginning to end, and so beautifully written and poetic. The Road to My Daughter by Elisabeth Spencer. Not a book I would normally have gone to except I saw her interviewed in The Times and it was...I'm speechless! The courage, the emotion. It will grab you and you learn so much and come away with tears in your eyes (in a good way). It's my next bookclub recommendation for sure.

The Last Thing to Burn by Will Dean. Recommended to me by a customer and it was great.

The Psychopath Test is brilliant!! All Jon Robson books are great really. The one about fundamentalism particularly.

The Institute by Stephen King. It's not a horror story more of a paranormal thriller but at times the suspense/terror was so much I had to put the book down and leave it for a couple of days.

Or there's Three Hours by Rosamund Lupton. A thriller about a shooting in a school. I didn't sleep well while I was reading that one!
