Does anyone use a book subscription service? And recommendations?

I like the idea of getting a book each month that I might not have come across, ideally with some extra treats as well as I am terrible at spending money on myself and like the idea of some random treats.

So far both Reposed and The Feel Good book club look like they might fit the bill. Does anyone have any experience of either?

I like fairly literary books, not necessarily too heavyweight though as I read a huge amount for work. And I prefer reasonably uplifting books. I have PTSD so don't really like scary things.

Would love to hear from people who have tried these or other subscriptions!

Also, yes it's really nice that someone else chooses your books (whichever service you use). It feels like someone has thought about what you'd like! Smile

I've had Willoughby too and really enjoyed everything they sent me. It helped that my friend who ordered it for me wrote loads about what I like. Then my husband extended it for me and he added loads more about what I liked. That's the key to getting the right books, writing plenty about what you like!

@RubaiyatOfAnyone
I actually fancy reading 'harrowing tales of loss and despair' at the moment. Which persephone books should I seek out? I've obviously chosen some of the happier stuff to date
