Should I keep going with Mansfield Park?

I've been reading Jane Austen's novels while I'm stuck at home. Emma and Pride & Prejudice I was already familiar with; Sense & Sensibility and Persuasion I knew from the film versions but it was nice to finally read the full stories; and Northanger Abbey was a pleasant surprise, funnier than I expected.

But Mansfield Park reminds me of how I felt about reading classic novels when I was in secondary school. I'm at the part where they're discussing putting on a play. It's so dull. Is it worth persevering with?

The terrible snobbery of Mrs Norris is also difficult to take. I'm not sure she gets her just desserts unless it's the annoyance of seeing Fanny and Edmond married!!

I agree it was very honest writing when Fanny returns to Portsmouth and knows that she was remembering her past with rose-coloured spectacles. No wonder she clings on to Edmund like ivy! The prospect of being stuck in an overcrowded house with a family she has risen above must have been a game changer in her dogged determination.

Yes and her terrible mother! Surely she could have borne it all if her mother had been more caring and emotionally intelligent. Not to mention her father!!!

The family at MP were not perfect by any means but there were many things that made up for them. Edmund being the main one!

I get the feeling that JA's own mother was a bit like Fanny's . She doesn't have many good enough mothers (often the heroines don't have living mothers) in her writing does she?
